It seems that life these days is one long round of catch up! The life of an artist sometimes seems to be 25% creating, 25% exhibiting and 50% keeping up with social media, that is my excuse for not having written a blog post for the OBA for quite sometime now. Apologies.
We have however all been working hard. Covid effectively slowed things up for all of us and it seems to have taken ages to get over the effects of this although thankfully the worst is over for many of us.
The Old Bakery Artists managed to survive the pandemic intact and we all count ourselves very lucky. Unfortunately though the financial situation seems to have put the price of everything up including hiring space to exhibit, so we have a slightly curtailed programme of events this year. However, not to be daunted we do have plans afoot.
Our next outing will be at the Midsomer Norton Fair on 8th July where a few members of the group will be hosting a stand to show some of their work. This would be a great opportunity for anyone interested in joining the group to pop along, meet some of our members and find out more about the group, plus enjoying a lovely summer fair in Midsomer Norton, so why not give it a whirl. Held at the Town Park and Somer Centre it a great fun event. Find out more here https://mnct.co.uk/fayre/

We have more plans afoot all to be discussed at our monthly meeting which is the last Thursday of each month, the next one is tonight. You can explore our website to find out more or why not email us at mailto:oldbakeryartists@gmail.com
