Medium : painting, drawing, prints and more.

Style: Late 20th Century, Early 21st Century, with a touch of Bauhaus inspired teaching. With an eye to the future and a healthy nod to the past.

Influence: Everything.

Experience: 30 years + teaching Art/ Photography in the state system. I also founded a small arts company, facilitating and encouraging art/creativity for various groups, ages and abilities. A number of Mixed Exhibitions.

I have been creating Art all my life, I studied at Jacob Kramer college of Art in Leeds, Maidstone College of Art and then became a Teacher of Art / Photography and Head of Art in the secondary state sector.

I trained as a painter and am happy to work in a wide range of materials and agents including paint, print, photography, ceramics and sculpture. I class myself as an all-round Artist.

As a teacher much of my creative energy is spent encouraging future artists to get creative, so my own output has probably been less expansive than I would like, however I keep my hand in and have a respectable range of paintings, prints, water colours and mixed media to peruse.

I like to travel and practice photography, then manipulate images. With the aim of turning digital images into paintings and prints.

Much of my recent work has been landscape inspired, resulting in some large paintings of the South West countryside.

Many of my smaller works are quick, preparatory studies, work for larger pieces, testing new ideas and techniques. Other works are the result of travelling. Many of the Berlin images are taken from wall graffiti, dishevelled ephemera, evidence of previous entities and existence.
